This project required the redesign of the UCF Football practice field wrap. As it is highly visible, it has the potential to strike pride into any endearing University of Central Florida Football fan.
The “wall art” covers the fences of the UCF Football practice field like a castle wall, and is divided into two sections, east and south. Keeping in line with my other projects, I’ve drawn upon my custom collection of 2013 elements such as the castle border theme, black and white contrasting with gold trim, enhanced gold, and banner point elements.
The East Wall, 110 feet wide by 9 feet tall, contains no players. It has the “Knights” wordmark placed centrally on the art, with accomplishment banners lining the right edge. Sponsor and conference logos line the left edge.
The South Wall, 106 feet wide by 9 feet tall, is the most impactful, as it lines one of the main arteries to campus. No way you can miss this during game day. It contains the current year seniors along with the quarterback, conference and bowl game achievements, as well as an impromptu slogan I made up on the fly, “This is Knights Football.”
